Hotel lobby and common areas
Upon arriving at the hotel, the warm and inviting atmosphere instantly eradicated the day’s stresses and gloomy weather.

There was a cute cat in the lobby when we arrived, who I have been informed is not the hotel’s cat. It just seems to like visiting!

The main staircase and entrance seating area are stunning! The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a lovely country house vibe that instantly puts you at ease.

Spa
The Kettering Park Hotel Spa, with its leisure facilities and the amazing spa staff, are one of the main attractions of the Kettering Park Hotel.

The spa has a communal seating area to relax, eat and drink before or after enjoying all they offer.

Soak up the tranquillity of a large pool – you can swim some lengths or float away. Refresh and revive your mind, body and soul in the sauna, steam room and indoor pool. Step into the spa treatment rooms and let go of all your worries as you indulge in relaxation and renewal.

Feel yourself melt away as you enjoy an exceptional experience. Kettering Park Hotel and Spa take pride in tailoring its treatments to each guest, ensuring a bespoke therapeutic journey. I was spoiled for choice between body treatments, facials, and luxurious massages. The leisure facilities are included with your room booking.
Sauna and steam room
I loved the sauna and steam room in the spa! Nothing quite like the relaxing, soothing feeling of releasing tension from your body, breathing in the warm vapours, and letting the day’s stresses fade away.
It’s incredible how much better you feel physically and mentally after spending some time in the sauna’s dry, warm atmosphere. The steam room’s increased humidity helps purify the skin and lungs, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
An excellent combination, soothing aches and pains while invigorating your senses. Overall, the hot tub, sauna and steam room highlighted my spa experience.
Pool
The indoor pool and jacuzzi hot tub at the spa is simply wonderful. The pool is a great size, perfect for swimming some lengths to get a good workout or to float around and relax. There is also a shallow kids’ pool for the little ones to enjoy.
The jacuzzi hot tub is an excellent addition, with its powerful jets massaging your muscles and soothing away any tension.

And the spa area is simply perfect for unwinding, with a sauna and steam room to rejuvenate your body and create a tranquil atmosphere.
However, one downside is the lack of loungers around the pool area. While there are some comfortable seating options, there are not many loungers to relax on, which can be disappointing if you’re looking to spend a lot of time in this area.
Treatment Room
Opting for a full body massage which was booked and paid for on the day we booked the hotel to ensure we could get the time we wanted.

Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a couples massage! Dim, mood lighting sets the tone as you enter your temple spa massage room.
Choose from an array of relaxing oils – depending on the scent and effect you want to achieve. Let expert therapists remove your worries as they treat you to a deeply calming and energising massage. You’ll leave feeling rejuvenated!
Gym
We looked at the fitness centre gym before we left. It was large with plenty of modern equipment and air-con, but we didn’t have time to work out.
Room
The package we booked included a free upgrade to the superior double room. The attention to detail was apparent, from the lavish furnishings to the calming pictures that dressed the walls.
The Kettering Park Hotel and Spa Double Room is an excellent choice for a comfortable stay. The comfy beds provide ultimate relaxation, while the armchair with footrest offers a place to put your feet up and relax.

A desk and chair are also provided – perfect for working away from home. There’s also a wardrobe with an iron and hairdryer, satellite TV and a radio alarm clock in case you need it.

An additional makeup seating area with excellent lighting, plus a tray to put your straightening iron on. It’s perfect for getting ready for your meal in their rosette restaurant.
Bathroom
There was a bath, a shower overhead, and all the necessary toiletries.

Our only issue? The shower curtain instead of a screen is not my preference, but many people wouldn’t mind. The hot water ran fast for the bath on the plus side, so it’s all good!

Relax comfortably in the Kettering Park Hotel rooms, featuring a tea and coffee-making station with a selection of hot chocolate, peppermint and English breakfast tea.

The little touches, like the Lavazza capsule coffee machine and fresh milk.

The fluffy bathrobes and slippers were provided during the spa experience, and you can even buy them to take home.

We had a wonderful short break in the signature double room with comfortable beds. Highly recommend this room for couples looking for a romantic retreat.
Kettering park hotel also has family-friendly room options, such as a family room set up with extra beds for larger groups.
Wifi
Free wifi was fast throughout the hotel, making catching up on emails or browsing the web effortless.
Bar
The bar has a warm, inviting atmosphere and ample space to relax and unwind before dinner. The large seating area is perfect for mingling, chatting with friends or even for solo travellers to enjoy a drink and a book.

What I loved most about the bar was the variety of drinks on offer. From classic cocktail’s fantastic wine selection to local beer, there’s something for everyone’s tastes.
Restaurant
What stood out immediately was their use of local produce and fresh ingredients to create British-county classics that come with a twist – it was clear that quality and taste were the top priority.

The on site restaurant is a perfect place to have a great dining experience, and the restaurant boasts a gorgeous large fireplace.

During the warmer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace, with a cream tea and spectacular views of the landscaped gardens.
Afternoon Tea
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea with your loved ones at the Kettering Park Hotel.
In the summer, they offer a delightful outdoor seating area to enjoy afternoon tea at the lawn club.

Delicious hand-crafted cakes, finger sandwiches and savoury treats, crumbly freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam – the perfect treat for you and your nearest and dearest.
Dinner
We had a delightful dining experience at the hotel’s restaurant, which began with our delicious starters. I started with the Fish cake topped with warm egg and caper sauce, a perfect combination of flavours and textures.

While Luke opted for the Chicken liver parfait with shallot jam, chicken skin, and toasted sourdough that was beautifully presented on the plate.
We couldn’t resist the Chef’s special Lamb pave with carrot for our main course, which was absolutely divine. The lamb fillet was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with incredible flavour. Adding to that, the slow-cooked lamb on the carrot just melted in the mouth.

The care and attention given to creating such a unique dish were greatly appreciated.
Dessert
To end our meal, we shared a trio of ice cream that was the perfect conclusion to the sublime experience.

Overall, the dining experience was nothing short of amazing, as everything was perfectly cooked, and we felt dazzled by food that was not only flavorful but also beautifully presented.
Treat yourself to something special with the impressive wine selection at Kettering Park Hotels. There is something for every taste, from bold reds and light roses, crisp whites to sparkling wines.

We look forward to our next visit and the opportunity to indulge again at the hotel’s restaurant.
Breakfast
The next morning, we started our day with the perfect breakfast experience at the hotel restaurant.

Instead of a buffet, we were given an a la carte breakfast, which I always love, as it feels more personal and unique.

What was extra impressive was the way they catered to our individual needs. I requested an egg florentine but without a muffin to cater to my dietary restrictions, and the chef happily obliged, serving it on a bed of mushrooms, which was divine! Additionally, I indulged myself in some fresh fruit that was sublime.

Meanwhile, Luke went for something more traditional; a flaky, buttery croissant with Tiptree strawberry jam. Followed by eggs royale served on a muffin.

The overall experience was breathtaking. The restaurant’s attention to detail and the quality and freshness of the food were all present in the breakfast meal we enjoyed. It was the final touch that made our stay at the hotel one that we will never forget.

Also worth noting is that a lot of the ingredients used at the Kettering park hotel are sourced from the local area.
