We visited in November, and it had not long been open. There was not any outdoor furniture, besides this egg chair I sat in. Not a problem as it was too cold to eat outside!

Paparrazi Menu

The menu at paparazzi combines the best of Mediterranean and steakhouse styles.

Starters

Start your meal with small cold plates like hummus, olives or mozzarella. Or choose from the hot appetisers such as Arancini, garlic bread or squid.

We chose pan-fried prawns and calamari to start.

Mains

Follow the starter with a larger main, such as multiple pasta-based dishes, classic steaks, fresh salmon fillets, Stroganoff or meat skewers.

We went with the lamb chops, t-bone steak, and tenderloin with a side helping of chips. All served with a selection of sauces. Strong and mild peppercorn sauce, blue cheese sauce and caramelised fried onions.

Desserts

At the end of your meal, save room for something sweet. Paparazzi’s desserts are presented in a rotating glass display, each more tempting than the last. From cakes, cheesecakes, and cream-based desserts, you’ll be sure to find something special that is sure to delight.

You can even request a dessert with a candle—what better way to celebrate a birthday?

Our Review

The steaks were cooked to perfection. The two peppercorn sauces were a great way to add an extra kick to the steak. One proved too strong for all four of our tastes.

Thankfully, the second one was lovely. The drinks selection was spot on. We enjoyed red and white wine and cocktails!

Staff

Adding a candle to the dessert and a few staff members joining in with a Happy Birthday song, was a nice touch. I did get a video but my dreadful singing ruined it!

The service was top notch ; every detail seemed to be taken care of with professionalism and care.

The staff are so friendly and even allowed us to get behind the bar before we left! They also own the Sark restaurant which is another must visit restaurant in Maldon (review to follow).
