Riu Palace Tikida Agadir all-inclusive Hotel located in Agadir, Morocco. It is nestled on the beachfront promenade of the Atlantic coast, with views of the nearby marina and kasbah.
The hotel is about 30 minutes from Al-Massira International Agadir Airport. Just 10 minutes away from the city centre of Agadir, a hub for shopping, dining, attractions and nightlife.
This is a kids-friendly hotel. However, we decided to take a trip without them and went with Luke’s Mum and Dad instead.
Hotel Riu Palace Lobby and Common Areas
The lobby and common areas of the Riu Palace Tikida Agadir Hotel are beautiful, modern and inviting. It makes a very impressive entrance, elegantly decorated with plush furnishings, stunning decor and cosy seating.
The Hotel Riu Palace Tikida lobby is very large. It is the central hub of the hotel with plush seating areas that you can relax in from sunup to sundown. The reception and bar are located within it.
The hotel grounds are lush and well-manicured, featuring spectacular fountains and large gardens filled with colourful flowers. Choose from a fantastic selection of international buffet-style lunches. Guests can enjoy dishes from around the world, all freshly prepared and ready for them to savour. Whether you’re craving something succulent from the meat or fish carving station, an array of freshly-made pizzas, or live pasta cooked to perfection it has it all!
Snacks
This is also where you will find afternoon snacks, including chips, pizza, biscuits, cake, fruit, and ice-cream.
Il Mare – Italian restaurant
In the summer months only, the beachfront restaurant turns into a Mediterranean foodie paradise with a menu full of Italian dishes. This was not open when we visited so I can not give my opinion here.
Krystal – Fusion restaurant
The Krystal Fusion al a carte restaurant at the Palace Agadir Hotel is an all-inclusive treat included in your stay.
Guests can enjoy a break from the buffet of the main restaurant and sample delicious French fusion dishes served by the waiter service to their table.
The atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant is one of comfort and elegance, with soft lighting and stunning decor.
It must be booked in advance for one of two daily sittings 7pm or 9pm.
Krystal Menu
It has a fairly limited menu with only four choices for starters, mains, and desserts. Each course is beautifully presented and will leave you feeling satisfied.
Marrakech – Moroccan Restaurant
The Marrakech Moroccan al a carte restaurant at the Palace Agadir Hotel offers an all-inclusive experience with delicious Moroccan cuisine served with waiter service right to your table.
The atmosphere is one of beauty, with amazing Morrocan-style lighting, comfy seating and stunning decor. Reservations must be made in advance for one of two daily sittings 7 pm or 9 pm.
The menu is limited and I must admit the starter and dessert were not to our taste; the pastilla was very dry and the milk Bastilla was bland. We had better Moroccan cuisine outside of the hotel!
But the main course of lamb, chicken or beef tagine served with couscous and vegetables plus the service and atmosphere made it worth the visit.
Bars at Riu Palace
There are 4 bars to choose from all drinks are included on an all-inclusive basis.
O Bar – Main Lobby Bar
This inclusive Riu Palace Tikida Agadir Hotel bar will make your stay even more special it serves drinks all day long whether that’s for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or drinks in the evening.

Choose from an excellent selection that includes premium brands of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and mixers for all your cocktail needs.
Knowledgeable and helpful bartenders will ensure you get what you asked for so you can take in the beautiful view of the sunset with a glass of sparkling wine or start the night off right with an exotic passion fruit martini.
With its relaxed daytime vibe and live music in the evening, it’s no wonder this hotel’s bar is a favourite hangout spot for all guests.
La Scene – Stage Bar
This bar is located in the entertainment stage room, so you can enjoy drinks whilst watching the evening entertainment. The same drinks as above are available here.
La Terrase – Terrace Bar
This outdoor bar area at Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Agadir Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a cool drink while taking in the incredible views of the Atlantic coast. Offering table service, you can choose from an extensive selection of beers and cocktails or try a signature mocktail. It shares the same menu as the main bar and stage bar.
La Brise – Pool Bar
This pool bar is located in the swimming area of the Riu Palace Tikida Agadir Hotel it serves hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages. Here you can relax under a shaded terrace while sipping on a cool drink after a day of fun-filled activities by the pool or beach.
Pool Drinks Menu
There are 2 outdoor bars, they have a more limited choice of drinks than the indoor bars. While I’m not a fan of plastic cups, it’s understandable for safety purposes that drinks are served in them around the pool.
Tipping
The Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Agadir is an all-inclusive hotel and tips are not compulsory. But by giving a little here and there to the staff who go out of their way to help you can guarantee a more personal service from the staff.
From finding sunbeds, a nice table to eat dinner and keeping you refreshed with drinks, without even asking! They are forever grateful for whatever you give whether that be pounds, euros, dollars or dirhams.
Rooms at Riu Palace Tikida Agadir
The Riu Palace Agadir offers rooms with either a garden, pool view or sea view, with private bathrooms, balconies or terrace, air conditioning, satellite tv, free wi fi in all of them.
Twin Room with Pool View and Balcony
We stayed in room 3100 the room is very large with a split floor bedroom and lounge area. Very modern and stylish, with comfortable twin beds pushed together. It includes air-conditioning, satellite TV, a fridge with soft drinks, tea and coffee-making facilities.
The private bathroom is huge and modern with a stunning walk-in shower and his and her sink. There is a toilet and bidet in there too. Basic complimentary toiletries are included.
The balcony has a great view over the pool and if you look to the left you still have a beautiful sea view and can see the kasbah too.
Cleaning Services
The housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels, toiletries replenished, and beds made.
Check Out Times
Check-out is at 11am, however if you need to stay a bit longer they do offer late check-out at an additional cost.
Standard Room
This is a smaller double room without the pool or sea view, they still have everything you need to enjoy riu hotels at a cheaper price.
Junior Suite
The Hotel Riu also have the option to upgrade to a junior suite available with a very large double room and a larger balcony with a sea view looking over the agadir beach. Junior suites come with a higher price but in my opinion, the pool view still had a sea view too at a lower cost than junior suite!
Pools
There are 4 pools available, one heated indoor pool inside the spa and one heated outdoor pool. Another unheated outdoor pool and a shallow kids pool at the kids club.
The outdoor pools at the Hotel Riu Tikkida Palace are sure to impress, with two beautifully designed geometric pools next to each other. One outdoor swimming pool is heated in the winter with an adjoining whirlpool bath. We still found it pretty chilly though!
There is also a swim-up bar to enjoy a refreshing drink but this is in the unheated pool so best for the summer months!
There is also a heated pool indoor where the spa is.
Sun Loungers
There are plenty of sun loungers on the terraces and also very big bed platforms with cushioned mattresses situated around the pools. With plenty of parasols if you like some shade.
There are different levels and separate sections all around the gardens go for beds near the pool if you want to be part of it all or if you like quieter areas, look for the raised platforms away from the pool.
Beach
Another benefit of staying at the Hotel Riu Tikkida Palace, you can step out your door and onto the beach chairs in just a few steps.
Take a leisurely stroll along the Agadir Promenade, which runs between the hotel and beach. Along the way, you may be approached by locals who will try to sell you things from toys, sunglasses or jewellery. If you’re interested in buying, take a look – otherwise, a polite “no thank you” is all you need to say.
There is a private beach area reserved exclusively for Riu guests where you will not be pestered. Relax and feel the sand between your toes while lounging on comfortable sun loungers or under-shade umbrellas, all included with your stay!

Kids Club
There is also a kids club with a range of activities for children at Riuland. We didn’t use the service so can’t advise on it, but here is a picture from the outside showing the small kids pool too!
Evening Entertainment
The evening entertainment at the Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Agadir was put on by the animation team we were there to watch the Morrocan Night performance. They also had a karaoke night.
We also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the live music and singers every evening next to the bar.
